The purpose of education is to train young minds to think critically about the world around them. We have to meet teaching with humility and respect. It is full of challenges and responsibility. However the rewards of teaching are endless. I strongly believe that all children have the potential to learn something, if they have support from their teachers. As a teacher I want to challenge my students and give them opportunities to become critical thinkers. I need to be aware of how my students are learning and what motivates them to learn. I want my students to come into my classroom and be excited.
   The most effective way to teach is to create a classroom where students can feel safe and not be judged by others. I want a safe space where students can dialogue and have their own opinion on different matters. If students do not feel safe (emotionally, physically or socially) they will shut down and learning will never happen. It is important that parents and faculty members trust my judgment and see me as someone who they can approach and dialogue with.
  
  My experiences using technology are very strong. I love using new technology. I am fluent in Macs and PC's. I love playing around with technology and discovering new things that you can do with it. 

Technology Integration mean bringing new technology into the classrooms and letting students explore that technology. It means using technology (iPads, computers, etc.) to educate students and to help them study for future aspirations. One example of technology integration is students taking pictures of their classwork and saving it into a folder on an iPad or computer. Thus the student creates a portfolio where they can showcase their work to a parent or teacher. 

I will use technology in very tangible ways when i become a teacher. I like the idea of a student portfolio on a computer or iPad. With technology, I want to bring fun math and science games that students can use in the classroom. I want students to be familiar with using a smart board in my classroom. I want to use smart board technology to teach students all kinds of subjects (reading, science, math, etc.)
